Two dreams are coming true

This is a snapshot from my first walk to Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. I went there to ask if they accepted international PhD students, and the answer was yes.

Now, less than a year later, I have not only been awarded a PhD position in Art History (Photography) at the same university, but I’ve also received a three-year scholarship.

However, the best part about living in Wellington is that my dog Onyx and I will get to be part of my daughter’s life again.

My student visa has been approved, and I have only two more weeks of work at Rättviks Kulturhus (Culture Center), where I work as an exhibition producer.

In this blog, I’ll share the story of my big adventure.
